Embryo transfer is a simple procedure for most patients like doing a pap smear examination.

Patients are asked to have a semi-full bladder which helps with ultrasound imaging of the uterus and lining. This helps in better placement and reduced bleeding with the embryo transfer which ultimately results in improved pregnancy rates. Lots of ongoing research in this area :)
